We all love to spoil our little nuggets, thats for sure. And what better time to do that than the holidays?! Here is a dog treat recipe that I am dying to try for my pups! Paula Deen’s recipe for Bodeen’s Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits look so good I might eat them myself.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup nonfat Milk
1 Egg
1 cup Peanut Butter, smooth
2 1/4 to 2 1/2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
1 tablespoon Baking Powder
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, egg and peanut butter. Add in the flour and baking powder to make a very stiff dough, using your hands to work in the last of the flour if necessary. (Paula’s note: as a general rule, most homemade dog biscuits do well with 1 part liquid to 3 parts dry. You can customize the recipe by adding and subtracting ingredients your dog likes.)
Flour a work surface and roll out dough to a 1/4” thickness. Cut into desired sizes depending on the size of your dog. Bake on a parchment lined baking tray for approximately 20 minutes. Turn biscuits over and bake for an additional 15 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before storing in an airtight container. Bodine’s Dog Biscuits can also be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Now pooch can have his own channel to watch while left home alone. DOGTV offers scientifically developed programming tailored to your nugget’s vision and audio that will keep him/her stimulated, entertained and relaxed without any commercials or reruns. People who use it simply love it, they say that it’s brilliant at easing their anxiety and captivating their attention, leaving you with quite a content pooch. How cool is that!?

Boring meal time for pooch or kitty? No more plain bowl of food that is empty in less than 5 seconds with the Green interactive feeder! We actually don’t have the gulp-eaters at home, quite the opposite, our nuggets could care less about their food. That is why I think this feeder would be great: they would have to work for their food and it would be fun and entertaining -at least for me to watch them.
I know for sure Boogie the poodle would give me an are-you-kidding-me look, and Daisy the jack russell would say yay!! play time! I can’t wait to get one for them.
These products are sleek and modern. Their cool variety of carriers for dogs and cats are safety tested and approved. My favorite is the Sleepypod because it can be used as a super comfy bed (which my little nugget would love) or a carrying bag. And I would totally get the Sidekick for my bike if my dog wasn’t so crazy and energetic (she would never sit still long enough to use it).

Admiring Italy based The Good Machinery‘s Strange Planet series of imaginatively hand painted animal figurines – looking at the little treasures simply cheer and brighten my day.
The designs play with shapes and colors including polka dots, neon, golden, striped and my favorite, the black ombré horse with a bright neon pink muzzle… or maybe the pink horse with the golden legs?

It’s still October Adopt A Shelter Dog month! And I’ve just found another really great place to adopt. Muttville is an organization that helps senior dogs. When you think about getting a dog, most people want a puppy. The older dogs are almost always overlooked. Muttville helps senior dogs through rescue, adoption, foster and hospice. I’ve been looking through the available dogs, and they’re so adorable, I just want to adopt them ALL!!! So this month, do what you can to help senior dogs. Donate, adopt, volunteer, or foster through Muttville!

If your dog is anything like mine, they tear through toys in no time. I have searched and searched for long lasting toys for her and have yet to find one. Tennis balls seem to be the best, yet still not durable enough. But here is a toy that I am dying to try! Made for the most aggressive chewers, Boionic rubber toys are made of FDA food grade materials. The rubber floats, is dishwasher safe and is 100% recyclable. Awesome!
